A contractual agreement with the food vendors at the mall prevented them from doing so at the mall location. No one said the "new folks" have been downtown. It said the Farmer's Mkt. in Woodland started at Freeman's Park. Later it even had a stint in Heritage Plaza.
3.) The new folks have never been in the downtown. The current owners have tried for over three years to get downtown.

Maybe that will clear any confusion you have.

Another suggestion might be to ask them the next time you go to the market in its new location. Much more.
For those of us with longer memories we remember when the Farmer's Market was in Freeman Park. That is where it started.
