Yolo Sun opinion: Petrovich multiplex is another sweetheart deal with city

From the Yolo Sun editorial "Petrovich imperils historic State Theatre project:

Because of a recent policy of unreasonable constriction of press access to city staff-persons, in order to best cover city hall Yolo Sun has recently relied upon reliable and knowledgeable sources, but persons who regrettably had to remain anonymous [Redevelopment Agency Being Manuevered Against Proposal For Renovation Of Historic State Theatre].

Using such sources is a conventional journalistic practice in situations where it is deemed to be justifiable under particular circumstances.

Revealed by these dependable sources is grave cause for concern among persons who believe that restoration/renovation of the State Theatre is or should be a downtown planning-policy imperative.

The best proposal and the one that will require less city help will win. There is no way the city council will use eminent domain. Good bye State theater.
Yolo Sun makes many claims that can not be verified. Good try but no jack pot.

Can we give input on the PETROVICH PROJECT?
I would like to see some residential along with the Theatre. The two would be a good mix and Petrovich is so good and combining the two. Woodlands problems will be solved by a project that Petrovich builds.

I'm not sure I can believe what Mr. Harris says. You can publish whatever you want but it doesn't make it true. I still believe there are some level headed folks on our city council--at least a few--and the wool won't be pulled over the eyes of all of them. I say give the theater thing time. If the numbers work, the State will win on its own merits. That's my opinion.

If you had said there are a couple of level-headed folks on city council, I would agree with you.
