Another armed assault: Zamora resident stabbed during attempted robbery

From City of Woodland, Police:

Early this morning, on December 26 at approximately 2 am, a man walked into the Woodland Memorial Hospital emergency room with an apparent stab wound in his abdomen. Coincidentally, a Woodland police officer was already in the ER on another case when the victim came in and the officer spoke with the victim about what had occurred.

The victim, 19 year-old Michael Parks, of Zamora, said that he was jumped while walking southbound on West Street, just south of Main. He reported that two black male adults, and one hispanic male adult, all in their early 20s, grabbed him around the neck and checked his pockets, presumably for valuables.

Just had to repost this one.
Un freakin believable the crime in this town now. Thanks for nothin Sullivan.

Dear Woodland Journal/Woodland Record

Thank you for good old fashioned reporting. The Democrat is actually trying to convince Woodlanders that we don't have a crime problem. Wow.

The police chief is the highest paid department head in the City of Woodland. Crime has exploded exponentially on his watch. The Daily Democrat actaully stated that "we" , the entire citizenry, are ALL to blame; and that rudeness and lack of general civility is what causes crime. Really? Like armed robbery. ???

I don't get it.

+++ It couldn't possibly be that we picked a lame police chief ten years ago and it was destined to catch up with us.

+++It couldn't be that nearly ALL of our experienced officers quit, naming the police chief as the reason and formally voting 'no confidence' twice now.

The Daily Democrat might as well blame the Tooth Fairy.

Hmmm. We have a 19 year old male from Zamora out at 1:00 am in Woodland on Christmas night.

Could it have been a drug deal that went bad???

What's going on in Hoodland? Stabbings, robberies at gunpoint? Where's the leadership on this, City Council and 'Woodland's Supervisor' Rexroad?

Let me see, the area to the south side of the Chevron Station at the SW corner of Main and Westis a known hang out for "tweakers", boozers, drifters, ect. Some one was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I think its time the citizens of this town start carrying weapons for their own protection. Shoot first ask questions later.

In one of the most obviously known places for losers in this city.

Sounds more like he tried to short his meth dealer....

So let's say this guy is Hispanic. Do you think the marchers and protestors would be lined up in front of the Dana motel? No. Why would they pick such a seldom happening to rally behind? Smells like money to me. If they really cared, they would be out marching every time a Latino was stabbed, beat down, murdered. But they only pick on Law enforcement. I don't get it.
