Woodland Chamber steals Christmas

Here is the new theme for the Woodland Chamber of Commerce parade:

According to the Chamber Web page, they are celebrating the 45 year anniversary of the Woodland Holiday Parade? I thought it was always the Woodland Christmas Parade? I guess they should say this is the first annual Holiday Parade, then.

Woodland Chamber is a joke. Always the first to avoid conflict because it might hurt some members feelings.

Thanks for disrepecting my feelings by taking the "Christmas Parade" and calling it a "Holiday Parade". Was this voted on?

It is the Christmas Parade and I say ever float in the Parade have a banner that states
"Proud Woodland Christmas Parade Participant."

Thanks again for dis-respecting my family and the generations that made it the Christmas Parade.

Doesn't matter to me as long as they keep the Dino Sweepstakes Award, although I'm surprised it is just for horses. Maybe they can change the name from a "horse" award to an "Equus" award to include donkeys.

Chamber gets it wrong again...

Did someone complain about the word Christ in Christmas???

What happened to majority rule???

If someone is offended by the word Christ, they can just stay home and skip the parade.

We the people, still call it CHRISTMAS.

Shame on the Chamber for poorly attempting to be politically correct.

Just one more nail in Woodland's coffin. Keep it up boys and girls. This town is already anti business. Now it wants to be anti residents. You will get your small town back. As it slowly dies in to obscurity. You will have achieved your goal.

Idiots

Oh Honorable Chamber, is the now annual Holiday Parade going to allow Santa to particpant??

If this is just an ordinary Holiday then we should not be asked by the Chamber (Who is supposed to represent our businesses) to spend money for gifts. I think that I will take my shopping to another town. Thank you for clarifying your position Chamber of COMMERCE.

With the exception of a few organizations....the last few times I went to this parade it was more of a Christmas cruise with idiots just driving trucks down the street with an ad for a local business on the doors blasting music and looking like idiots.....

That being said, there are a few organizations that truly remain in the spirit of the thing.

Changing name to Holiday Parade, was it the City or Chamber that changed it. Who ever bad choice.

It behooves us to remember that the word "holiday" comes from "Holy Day," which is what Christ-Mass is, right? Can't we all just calm down, and enjoy the Holy Day Parade?

Well, hoof-less, if Christ is the reason for the season, why would we take Christ OUT of Christ-mas???
