Gangs, drugs, robberies...and our new city manager still thinks we need to pay our chief of police, highest paid department head, an EXTRA 10% to "oversee" the Parks and Senior Center. In this economy? When all other employees took a 5% reduction in pay? When our sity is on fire with gangs and drugs? They should have put that 10% in to extra patrol or bought another drug sniffing dog with it.

New News on Waste
Not only is Dan Gentry the former director of Parks and Rec back on staff but we hear now that the no.2 woman also came back part time to help oversee operations. Clearly they do NOT need Mr. Sullivan. What a huge waste of our money just so Sullivan can pad his retirement and then slip out the back door next year.

With gangs and drugs reaching epidemic levels in Woodland, this is exactly why people have so little faith in government.

That city manager should stop wasting our money and give it to patrol efforts at WPD. They are the ones actually earning their pay.

Disappointed Woodlander,
You must be a cop that was disciplined by the chief or a dissatisfied city employee.

There is nothing that the chief or any other person could have done to prevent this type of trash from selling drugs. I am glad the police stopped them and now hope Risig will prosecute them and a judge puts them in jail for a long long time.

Then why do we need a police chief at all? If there is to be no accountability for our city's crime then I say save the money , rid the whole figurehead waste and add some beat heat!
