What did you find "odd" about these two criminals?

Was it the fact that the investigators are still looking for witnesses?

Was it the license on the bumper?

I don't find it weird that the investigators are still looking for witnesses or anything bout the bumper.

This press release is different than others we've received (and others I've seen posted at YoloCounty.org). The release describes an arraignment that followed a preliminary hearing – at which point a judge found sufficient evidence to make two defendants stand trial. The parties will be back in court on October 30 to set a trial date – expected to be in early 2010. Most weird, to me, is that there's a bunch of "facts" about the case listed - as if the trial is in progress.

To me it just seems odd that information is being released before a trial.

In contrast... and not part of why I think this release is weird... is the press release of a recent DA procurement in the form of a penalty paid by Signature Brands for some alleged "slack fill" packaging. In that press release, after the case is complete, there is little information. The DA won't release the name of the candy packaging in question and could only send us a case number for Sac County to continue our treasure hunt.
