Backpacks for Kids "Family Fun Day" is TODAY!

Please join friends and neighbors at the third annual Backpacks for Kids “Family Fun Day” event – TODAY!

Each year Yolo County Backpacks for Kids has an annual event of family fun—music, games, contests, and great food. All the proceeds from the event go to provide Yolo County children with the necessary school supplies that they need for the upcoming school year.

If you would like to donate a new backpack and/or supplies, donations barrels will be available at the event entrance. However, school supplies and backpacks will NOT be distributed to children at the event. All supplies are distributed to schools and children in need during the month of August. Donations to Yolo County Backpacks for Kids are reserved for Yolo County children. What is donated in Yolo County stays in Yolo County!

Yolo County Backpacks for Kids provides new backpacks and school supplies to children and schools in need throughout Yolo County. Through the generosity of Yolo County residents, businesses, and leaders, over 1,500 children, who would not otherwise have the resources to buy school supplies, have received the necessary supplies to start the school year properly equipped and prepared to learn.
