Wanted: Your library story, six words

Okay, this will be fun to collect six word combinations on this blog that describe favorite library experiences.

The Yolo County Library is asking "community members to describe their favorite library experience, in six words, and to present it in a handwritten, typed or pictorial manner (six pictures)."

Click here to read the entire Yolo County press release at the Woodland Record.

It's interesting that you post a message about Yolo County Libraries but nothing about the possible dire straits that the city of Woodland's library may be in about which I emailed jeff@woodlandjournal.com earlier today (Thursday). The City Council is considering reducing the hours the library is open by 50% which would mean they would only be open 20-25 hours per week. Come to the Council Budget Study session Tuesday at 6 p.m at the Community/Senior Center to show your support for the library. Call 661-1601 or email fopublib@sbcglobal.net if you would like more information or come to a strategy meeting Saturday at 3 p.m in the Leake Room at the Library.

Dino never saw that email. I did not notice it yesterday, my fault. Good email though, just strange timing.

Ew, ouch. Dino, why did you let that last comment through? Inciting arson and possible injury is WAY out of line.

I didn't moderate this, but it is six words.

I disagree that it incites arson and personal injury. It appears to be someone who is against the library... for whatever reason. Maybe it's someone who doesn't believe in science, a book-burning throw-back.
