Dustin among tops in American League

Dustin Pedroia of Woodland has had a great April as the second baseman for the world champion Boston Red Sox. He is tenth in batting average hitting .313, second in hits with 35 and second in doubles with 11.

Last night Dustin made a great diving stop in the top of the ninth inning against the Toronto Blue Jays. The grab and assist off the bat of Vernon Wells helped preserve a scoreless tie, subsequently broken in the bottom of the ninth by Kevin Youkilis' game-winning single. Boston (16-12) is in second place by percentage points to the Baltimore Orioles (15-11).
